Las fotos molan pero creo que es errónea. Gran parte de esas aves no están extintas, ni siquiera están en peligro de extinción. Algunas no pone su nombre correctamente si no el nombre del orden al que pertenecen: Sphenisciformes, Cuculiformes, Pelecaniformes, etc. Y no es que estén extintos precisamente. Habrá alguna especie de esas órdenes que se haya extinguido, pero no parece que se corresponda con las fotos.
Yo no es que sea un experto, así que no la voy a votar negativo, a ver si alguien que sepa más (o que busque más rápido en el google ) puede corroborar lo que he dicho.

Por ejemplo, n el caso del número 6 que mencionas, llamadas Charadriiformes, dicho nombre hace mención al órden, no a la especie. Diría que algunas de ellas no están extintas, no puedo asegurarlo porque no pone la especia, solo el orden (no creo que todos los Pelicaniformes estén extintos...).

Superficiales. Los que no son preciosos no importan ¿no?..
Hay unos cuantos que no están extintos. Algunos son especies extinguidas que se parecen mucho las no extinguidas, sobretodo endemismos. Pero, por ejemplo, no hay ningún ánade rabudo extinguido ni en peligro de extinción. Es errónea.
No es que sea errónea, es que es poco rigurosa: no es lo mismo decir que el orden Ciconiiformes está en peligro de extinción a que sólo lo esté la cigüeña negra, por ejemplo.
Falta el Articuno, el zapdos y el moltres
La verdad es que son preciosos, bueno la Moa, precioso precioso no es
meneo para compensar los negativos.
Montones de la lista no están extintos. Así a botepronto reconozco un montón, y la mayoría se ven con facilidad en España:
* Auckland Islands Merganser: La de la foto no es una serreta de Auckland, es una serreta común, que no está extinta.
* Black-crowned Night-heron: En castellano, Martinete común. No está extinto. De hecho es relativamente común.
* Black-throated Diver: En castellano, Colimbo ártico. No está extinto.
* Charadriiformes: La de la foto es una cigüeñuela común. Están por todas partes en los humedales.
* Ciconiiformes. El de la foto es un Ibis blanco. No está extinto.
* Corn Bunting. En castellano, triguero. Muy común.
* Cyprus Dipper. Mirlo acuático. No está extinto, es muy fácil de ver en ríos de montaña.
* Dunlin. Correlimos común. Muy abundante.
* Ferruginous Duck. En castellano, Porrón. No está extinto.
* Golden Eagle. El Águila real de toda la vida. Quedan pocas en España, pero no está extinta. A nivel mundial ni siquiera está en peligro de extinción.
* Great Bustard. Avutarda. Vulnerable, pero no extinta.
* Gull-billed Tern. Un charrán. No está extinto.
Con los demás no me atrevo a mojarme, pero vamos...
La Moa (o el Moa, no sé) gigante es impresionante !
