The celebration will take place in the Globe this Friday afternoon from 14:00 to 17:30. It will consist of short presentations from Web veterans, a keynote speech from Tim Berners-Lee with a demonstration of the original browser, and a series of presentations from people that Tim believes are doing exciting things with the Web today.
Although the event is by invitation only, everyone at CERN will be able to follow the event, either via a webcast at webcast.cern.ch, or on the website of the French news channel, lci.fr. The event will also be relayed to the Main Auditorium, the AB auditoriums in Meyrin and Prévessin, the Council Chamber, the AT auditorium and restaurant 2.
If you have any questions you'd like to ask Tim Berners-Lee, there will be an opportunity provided by the organizers of the Lift '09 conference, which took place last month in Geneva. If you have a question to ask, you can submit it via asklift.com/www-at-20/, and the most popular ones will be put to at the end of the afternoon.
With 2009 being declared the Year of Creativity and Innovation by the European Union, the 20th anniversary of the Web serves as a timely reminder of the powerful role that creativity in basic research plays as a driver of innovation. I hope you enjoy the celebration.

Los datos biométricos de tu cuerpo no se pueden modificar a tu antojo, con estos pasaportes tendríamos toda esa información en un único documento, lo cual podría permitir que se copiaran, ¿ya no suena tan bien, no? ahora sí, cualquiera te podría sustituir completamente.
Además como dice #20, por muy segura que sea la protección, que se rompa es cuestión de tiempo.

Mi opinión es que está bastante peor que el actual, se ve sin acabar:
* El cambio de distribución me parece bien, pero la cabecera no está demasiado bien pensada para ser útil, sigo:
* La primera barra, tiene la letra excesivamente pequeña, como comentan por ahí no estaría mal que los campos de usuario y clave estuvieran directamente visibles y no en una página separada. Si alguien busca la ayuda, va a necesitar ayuda para encontrar el botón de ayuda, con que pusiera "ayuda" al lado del icono sería suficiente. El campo de buscar es muy muy pequeño y con la cantidad de blanco que hay alrededor ni se ve.
* Los botones de al lado de eli: el primer botón que ve un usuario no registrado es "enviar noticia", y precisamente es de las pocas cosas que no puede hacer, le invitaría a registrarse. Y la fisgona y el nótame son tan importantes? los usuarios típicos no creo que entren nunca (gran cantidad de información y ningún orden dentro, a parte de ser demasiado específico de la comunidad).
* ¿Por qué está el mapa antes que las noticias populares? Y menear pendientes no se ve.
* La división en categorías no es nada clara para el usuario, esta demasiado atiborrado y hay demasiadas, personalmente nunca he usado las subcategorías, sólo las 5 principales. Se me ocurre no poner las subcategorías cuando está seleccionada la categoría "todas", y alomejor funcionaría una lista de subcategorías al pasar por encima de tecnología, etc.
El resto está bastante bien, o ya estamos acostumbrados
En cuestiones de diseño es más difícil estar de acuerdo porque es muy personal, pero me parece que podría quedar mejor y más profesional. El naranja suave con blanco me parece bastante feo, le faltan contrastes. El que todos los textos estén en negro queda bastante mal, por los contrastes, el negro sobre el naranja (en los comentarios por ejemplo) está bien, pero con el fondo blanco parece que rompe la estética (fijaros el texto negro que aparece en la nueva portada). Como comentan por ahí la nube de tags también me parece demasiado azul en contraste con el resto de la página.
Como comentan menéame es un clon de digg, y no veo problema en que se parezcan demasiado, tienen audiencias distintas.
