Este vídeo se aprovecha de lo que todo el mundo que ha tocado un poco de música sabe: prácticamente la totalidad de las canciones populares de los últimos 30 años siguen esquemas y sucesiones armónicas muy simples y efectivas. Y muy parecidas o iguales entre sí, con diferentes y pequeñas variaciones.

Podríamos encajar casi cualquier canción con estas dos, simplemente variando el pitch (o tonalidad), pues son canciones cuyas estrofas y estribillos son simples tónica-dominante, la tensión más básica de la música. Por eso podemos mezclar prodigy con enya y rolling stones con shakira si hace falta.

Quitando el Jazz, que si ha evolucionado armónicamente, tímbricamente e incluso rítmicamente, y algún estilo relacionado con el Heavy metal que también experimenta con los ritmos, todas las canciones que salen por MTV son 4/4, con células rítmicas binarias muy elementales, siguen esquemas armónicos muy muy simples e incluso poseen estructuras estrictas de estrofa-estribillo-puente y demás.

A ver, hay un poco de trampa, porque la parte inicial del Stayin Alive se limita a un loop de los primeros compases para que encaje sobre el Re menor del comienzo de The Wall.

Si estuviera Accorn por aquí os explicaría los detalles técnicos. La churra, a nivel de armonía, es que el Sol 9 encaje a trozos tan bién sobre el Re menor (es una simple extensión de tension sobre la tónica).

En fin. ¿Dónde está Accorn cuando le necesitamos?
