Para ser específicos "Sunspring" fue escrito por por una red neuronal recurrente llamada Memoria de Largo a Corto Plazo (LSTM) y presentado a concurso en el "Sci-Fi London" en la sección "48-Hour Film Challenge" donde a los participantes se les entregan unos diálogos que deben aparecer en un corto que se exhibe 48 horas después. La anécdota surgió cuando una vez el jurado eligió los mejores trabajos y la votación online quedó abierta, Benjamin "hackeó" el sistema autovotandose 36.000 veces por medio de bots creados por él mismo (Ver #1)

"I said, [Benjamin] is going to outvote them at the last minute," Sharp recalled. "So we had him vote 36,000 times per hour in last hours of the contest, and he crushed the cheaters." Sharp immediately called Louis Savy, who runs the film festival, and confessed that their AI had voted for himself and that they wanted to distance themselves from the AI's actions.
