Se trata de la continuación de las protestas protagonizadas por los estudiantes de Quebec en la pasada primavera, que se reanudan con la reapertura del curso académico. An Act to enable students to receive instruction from the postsecondary institutions they attend ( L.Q., 2012, c. 12 (Laws of Quebec, 2012, chapter 12)[1]), commonly known as Bill 78, is an emergency law passed on 18 May 2012 by the National Assembly of Quebec. The law ensures that no student is denied the right to receive education at the school they attend and that no one may impede the school's ability to provide it.[2] It further restricts protest or picketing on or near university grounds and requires organizers of a protest consisting of 50 or more people in a public venue anywhere in Quebec to submit their proposed venue and/or route to the relevant police for approval.[3] Bill 78 was drafted by members of the Quebec Liberal Party, introduced by Education Minister Michelle Courchesne, and passed with the support of the Coalition Avenir Québec party in response to ongoing student protests over proposed tuition increases.

#1 Pues eso digo yo, me parece que esto es algo importante. Es habitual pensar que Canadá es muy civilizado, por comparación con sus vecinos del sur, pero luego te encuentras con estas cosas. De forma muy civilizada y muy democrática, se van cargando los derechos civiles.
