La ciencia ficción y las visiones futuristas en general tienden a ser negativas con respecto a nuestro porvenir... y con razón: nuestro medio ambiente está amenazado, tenemos una desagradable propensión a hacer un uso incorrecto de las tecnologías, y somos cada día más capaces de aniquilarnos. Pero no hay por qué dar por sentada la desaparición de nuestra civilización. He aquí siete futuros no distópicos completamente posibles siempre y cuando aprendamos de nuestros errores y logremos sortear los riesgos actuales.

where we are free of our labors
and joined back to nature,
returned to our mammal
brothers and sisters,
and all watched over
by machines of loving grace.
