Movistar desplegará por primera vez en la Campus Party de Valencia la tecnología IPv6, el nuevo protocolo de internet que permitirá recuperar la conectividad extremo a extremo potenciando la llamada 'Internet de las cosas', donde las máquinas y numerosos dispositivos actuales o futuros, como ordenadores, smartphones, PDAs, automóviles, neveras, lavadoras o cualquier otro electrodoméstico, incorporarían conexiones de datos e Internet.

Euro6IX presented at Campus-Party 2002 event (5 and 8/8/2002). The Euro6IX project has been introduced twice during the Campus-Party event, in Valencia. The presentation included an IPv6 Tutorial, introduction of the world status, including Europe and Spain, and short introductions to several IPv6 European projects. During this event a world wide record has been achieved, where over 1200 PCs were configured with IPv6 stacks. A complete documentation about IPv6 and the projects was provided to all the attendees.
